Interim Group Information
What is Interim Group?
This service is designed to provide support and guidance to individuals as they prepare to enter substance abuse treatment and are waiting admission to a Salt Lake County funded treatment agency. Groups are unstructured and clients can contribute as much as they feel comfortable. Individuals at all stages of recovery are welcome to attend and encouraged to participate.

Bus tokens: Bus tokens are provided to those in need of assistance with transportation.
Attendance & Assessment:
No notice is required to attend Interim Groups. Individuals can simply show up and come as often as they wish. On the first day of Interim Group, individuals needing an assessment will be asked to provide contact information and will be called within one to two weeks to schedule their assessment appointment The purpose of the assessment is to provide a referral to the appropriate agency and level of treatment. Once individuals are admitted to a treatment agency they can no longer attend groups.
Letters verifying attendance are not provided
Individuals will be provided attendance sheets in order to keep track of their own Interim Group hours. For individuals who sign a release of information form, attendance information will be provided directly to treatment sites as well as Adult Parole & Probation or others as needed.
