Residential Treatment

First Step House's Residential treatment program is conducted by a trained staff of Masters-level and state licensed substance abuse counselors. The program consists of 25 hours of intense weekly therapy, community service networking, room and board, aftercare, and long-term follow-up service. Clients will participate in a wide variety of therapeutic activities, including:

  • Weekly therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Individual counseling

Additionally, clients will acquisition and be coached in a variety of life skills, including:

  • Addiction education
  • Relapse prevention
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Communication skills
  • Emotional management
  • Goal setting and achievement
  • Community service networking

The Residential treatment program also features the following additional benefits:

  • GED and high-school completion instruction
  • Veterans Administration interface for qualified veterans
  • Vocational Rehabilitation Services interface
  • Recreational activities
  • Room and Board
  • Excellent meal and sack lunch service
  • Cost-free laundry facilities
  • Clothing (when available)
  • Aftercare and long-term follow-up service
