First Step House executive director, Shawn McMillen, and Clinical Consultants' development director, Sanitago Cortez, speak out in support of the Justice Reinvestment legislation. This legislation will bring about much-needed reforms that will "offer our loved ones more hope, more avenues to recovery, and more support for success." We like the sound of that!
We are pleased to announce that our renovation efforts at our new site (440 South 500 East) are well underway! Since breaking ground last November, the crew has been hard at work and the demolition is already 90% complete. This means that we can start construction and that we are on track to open our doors in November of 2015. Which is good news for all of us! We are excited to move forward with our Fatherhood Initiative Program - serving custodial and non-custodial fathers with treatment and supportive services to re-engage fathers and increase family stability!
